Previously, at an investor meeting in January this year, TSMC predicted that its revenue growth in 2024 would exceed 20% and expressed optimism about the compound growth rate of AI-related revenue. This demonstrates TSMC’s positive attitude towards the development of the AI market. Since the beginning of this year, the application of AI in PCs and smartphones has been flourishing, driving the space upstream of the AI industry chain and promoting the growth in demand for AI chips.

TSMC also noted that its clients’ demand for the 2nm process is greater than for the 3nm process. Therefore, the company will continue to expand its 2nm production capacity to meet market demand. According to Counterpoint Research, TSMC’s leading position in advanced manufacturing processes and packaging technologies will solidify its status in the artificial intelligence chip market. By 2024, TSMC is expected to double its CoWoS capacity to meet the demand for multi-chip assembly and enhance its SoIC product portfolio for high-performance applications.

Brady Wang, the deputy director of Counterpoint Research, stated that TSMC, having made rapid progress in the 3nm process and artificial intelligence applications, has become one of the main beneficiaries in the artificial intelligence semiconductor sector. He predicted that, in the coming years, as the application of artificial intelligence in PCs grows rapidly, TSMC will continue to play a key role and strengthen its leadership in providing advanced 5nm and 3nm technologies for AI-enhanced computing devices.
