SK hynix announced that after reporting to the board of directors, the 2025 organizational restructuring and executive appointments have been completed.
SK hynix has introduced a “C”-centric management system to enable rapid decision-making by assigning responsibilities and authority to each core function.
Accordingly, the divisions have been reorganized into five entities: AI Infrastructure Department (CMO), Future Technology Research Institute (CTO), Development and Operations Department (CDO), Mass Production Department (CPO), and others.
The company has decided to establish a new R&D headquarters to consolidate the development capabilities of all storage products, including DRAM, NAND, and solutions, to maximize synergies across the company and develop next-generation AI memory and other future products.
Ahn Hyun has been promoted to president.
President Ahn has held key positions in the Future Technology Research Institute, Management Strategy, and Solution Development departments. He was appointed as an executive director at this year’s shareholders’ meeting and has participated in major decisions related to the company’s technology and strategy.
Additionally, a new mass production management department has been established to oversee large-scale production of memory pre-processing and post-processing, maximizing synergies between processes, and managing semiconductor fabs both domestically and internationally, including the Yongin semiconductor cluster.
In the future, technological progress will be evaluated from a comprehensive perspective.
SK hynix made bold moves by promoting 33 new executives, allowing young talent to enhance technological competitiveness based on customer needs and technological trends.
Of these, about 70% were appointed to technology fields such as next-generation semiconductor development, focusing on ensuring the company’s technological competitiveness. They come from organizations that have achieved outstanding results in strengthening the competitiveness of key products such as HBM and DRAM.
CEO Kwak Noh-Jung stated that, thanks to the collective efforts of the company’s members, we have consolidated our technological competitiveness in AI storage areas like HBM and eSSD, achieving significant growth.
As the business environment rapidly changes, this restructuring will rebalance our existing business and future growth foundation through personnel appointments, further solidifying our leadership in the AI memory sector.
