Microsoft First AI PC Launches on April 9! Starting at $1199

Recently, Microsoft announced the launch of the first batch of Surface artificial intelligence computers designed for business users: the Surface Pro 10 Commercial Edition and the Surface Laptop 6 Commercial Edition.

From a configuration perspective, the newly launched PCs are equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, which are the most significant upgrades for these two products: the Surface Pro 10 uses the Core Ultra 5 135U or Core Ultra 7 165U chips, whereas the previous Surface Pro 9 Commercial Edition was equipped with Core i5-1245U or i7-1265U chips. Therefore, this CPU upgrade signifies Microsoft’s leap from the outdated 12th generation chips directly to the recently launched Core Ultra chips.

It is worth mentioning that these two computers also possess a “brain” for accelerating AI tasks, the Neural Processing Unit (NPU). By integrating the NPU, they can provide users with AI features, including Windows Studio Effects and real-time subtitles, and enable enterprises and developers to build their own AI applications and experiences.

Additionally, with the help of AI-assisted Windows Studio effects, users can activate the automatic framing feature to ensure the user’s face remains centered in the frame while the background stays blurred. Moreover, both AI PCs have adopted a new keyboard layout, adding a dedicated CoPilot key.

It is reported that these two latest AI PCs from Microsoft will be launched on April 9, with a starting price of $1,199.
