Holding Unsold RTX 3060 & 3050 Foreseeing Price Plunge

According to industry insiders, many brand manufacturers have a large inventory of RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 graphics cards. However, the market demand is very weak, leading to a significant backlog.

It is said that many local brands still have a lot of RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 in stock. As the RTX 3060 is about to cease production and the RTX 3050 6GB new version is set to be launched, there might be inevitable price reductions to clear the inventory.

Nevertheless, this is great news for mainstream and entry-level gamers.

Meanwhile, the inventory of RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 from Taiwanese brands is relatively limited, but prices are higher, and the shipping speed is not fast.

Previous reports indicated that the RTX 3060, originally planned to be discontinued this month, has been extended by NVIDIA for another two quarters, continuing until the second quarter of next year, remaining a sales focus even in the first quarter of next year.

As for the RTX 3050, it will launch a 6GB VRAM version to compete with the RX 6750 GRE. However, it not only reduces the VRAM by 2GB but also changes the core from GA106 to GA107, reducing the CUDA core count from 2560 to 2048 and lowering the thermal design power from 130W to 70W.

It is expected to be released in February next year with an estimated starting price of only $179.
