On January 5th, according to industry revelations, in the fourth quarter of 2023, NVIDIA GPU supply was strictly limited worldwide, leading to a significant global shortage.
In this situation, both manufacturers and sales channels in Europe, America, and China are fiercely competing to obtain goods.
The situation is even more pessimistic for the Chinese market, especially considering that January marks the end of the quarter and February includes the Chinese New Year holiday.
Therefore, it is expected that the supply of NVIDIA GPUs and graphics cards will be extremely limited shortly, with the possibility of some product price increases.
As for why NVIDIA is controlling the supply, the exact reason is unknown. There is speculation that they are probably prioritizing accelerating the supply of high-performance GPUs used in accelerating computing cards.
After all, the profit from computing GPUs is much higher than that from gaming GPUs, especially with the current surge in AI demand. Computing GPUs are large in scale, technologically complex, and have higher capacity requirements.
